What does a background check show?
Background checks or employment screenings are designed to reveal any past criminal behavior/activity while verifying data such as past/current employment, educational achievements and reference. Regardless of the type of background check, the results are subject to strict privacy regulations and are FCRA compliant.
What does effective pre-employment screening include?
This will depend on your state and federal regulations. However, most pre-employment screening programs typically search the past 7 years of an applicant’s criminal background history, verification of all degrees and licenses, and work history of the applicant. Some companies may choose to add additional screenings such as drug, alcohol and social media.
Do I need an applicant’s authorization to conduct a background check?
